Privacy Policy
Your enquiry contains something commercially real — the dimensions of your bath and what you put in it. This page says what happens to it, in the same plain terms as the rest of the site.
Who is responsible for your data
The controller is Kunwu Kettle, a trading name of KUNWU GROUP CO., LTD (in the course of being registered). We have not yet published the registration itself, the registered address and the unified social credit code; they will appear here, and in our legal notice, before we accept an order. We would rather show you an empty field than a detail we cannot yet evidence.
For anything on this page, write to engineering@kunwukettle.com. A person answers that address; it is not a ticket queue.
What we collect
There is no form on this site. Enquiries reach us as email, which means we hold exactly what you chose to put in the message and nothing a form quietly collected alongside it.
| What | Where it comes from | Why we have it |
|---|---|---|
| Your name, company, country and email address | The email you send us, and the signature block in it | So an engineer can reply to you |
| Your furnace and process data — bath dimensions, throughput, workpiece envelope, heating arrangement, existing kettle history | What you tell us in the enquiry and afterwards | So the kettle we quote fits the furnace you actually have |
| Drawings, general arrangement sketches and photographs of your bath | Attachments you send by email | So we can check clearances and lifting before we commit to a size |
| The correspondence itself | So there is a record of what was specified and agreed | |
| Order, inspection, customs and payment records | Created by us when an order runs | Because customs, tax and product-liability rules require them |
We do not ask for, and do not want, special category data under Article 9 — health, biometrics, trade union membership and the rest. Please do not send it.
Why we are allowed to hold it
| Purpose | Legal basis under the GDPR |
|---|---|
| Answering your enquiry and preparing a quotation | Article 6(1)(b) — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract |
| Running an order, inspecting it, shipping it and commissioning it | Article 6(1)(b) — performance of a contract |
| Keeping customs, tax, quality and CBAM records | Article 6(1)(c) — legal obligation; and Article 6(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in being able to evidence what we supplied, years later, if a kettle is disputed |
| Screening a buyer and destination against export-control and sanctions lists | Article 6(1)(c) — legal obligation |
Your furnace data and drawings
This is the part that matters. Bath dimensions, throughput, the largest workpiece you dip and the history of the kettle you are replacing add up to a readable picture of your business. A competitor who saw it would learn what you galvanize and roughly what it earns you.
- It goes to the people who need it and stops thereThe engineer quoting it, and the works, once you have asked us to quote. Not to a shared drive, not to a marketing list.
- It is not used as a case study without your written consentOur projects page does not name a buyer or reproduce a drawing unless that buyer has agreed in writing to that specific text.
- It is deleted with the enquiry24 months after the last message, if the enquiry does not become an order. Ask sooner and we will do it sooner.
- Sign an NDA first if you would ratherSend us yours and we will sign it, or ask and we will send you a one-page mutual one. This is normal and we do not treat it as a sign that an enquiry is difficult.
Who else sees it
| Recipient | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Our works in Hebei, China | The dimensions, the plate specification and the drawings needed to build your kettle | Your drawing reaches the shop floor. That is obvious once said and almost never said — most suppliers’ privacy policies do not mention the factory at all. |
| The independent inspection body, where one is appointed | The inspection and test plan and the items to be witnessed | So a third party can sign off before dispatch |
| Freight forwarder and customs broker | Consignee details, weights, dimensions and commodity code | So the kettle can be shipped and cleared |
| Our email provider and web host | Whatever is in the message, plus the server log entries described in our cookie policy | They carry the mail and serve the pages |
| Our bank, and yours | Company name, address and the invoice | So payment can be made and traced |
We do not sell data, we do not share it with advertising networks, and we do not have a CRM that syncs your enquiry anywhere else.
Where your data is
We are a Chinese company and you are sending it to us directly, so this is not a “transfer” from an EU controller to a third country under Chapter V — it is collection by a controller outside the Union, which is why Article 3(2) applies to us and why this page exists at all. In practice your enquiry sits on our mail provider’s servers and, once you ask us to quote, the relevant technical parts are sent to the works in Hebei.
How long we keep it
| Record | Kept for | Then |
|---|---|---|
| An enquiry that does not become an order | 24 months from the last message | Deleted, including the attachments — or sooner, if you ask |
| Furnace data and drawings from an enquiry that does not become an order | 24 months, or until you ask | Deleted. We do not keep a library of other people’s baths. |
| Contract, inspection, NDT and material certificates for a kettle we supplied | 10 years from delivery | Deleted, unless a dispute is live |
| Customs, CBAM and accounting records | As long as Chinese and EU rules require | Deleted at the end of that period |
Your rights
- Ask what we hold about youArticle 15. We will send it in a readable form, not a database dump.
- Have it correctedArticle 16. Worth doing — a wrong bath dimension in our file becomes a wrong quotation.
- Have it erasedArticle 17. For an enquiry that did not become an order, we will simply do it. For a kettle we actually supplied, we have to keep the certificates and customs records, and we will tell you exactly which items we are keeping and under which rule.
- Restrict or object to processingArticles 18 and 21.
- Get your data in a portable formArticle 20.
- Complain to a supervisory authorityArticle 77. You can complain to the data protection authority of the Member State where you live or work, whether or not you have raised it with us first.
Changes to this policy
When we change it we will change the date at the top and, if the change affects what we do with data you have already sent, we will email the people it affects rather than rely on you re-reading the page.
